Windows 7 to be unleashed Oct. 22 2009
The muchly-anticipated successor to Windoze Vista (a.k.a. the mountain of BLOAT-ware of the century) is slated to be in stores on Oct. 22 2009. I've been using the Beta & RC ("Release Candidate") --64-bit flavors-- for a while now, and so far I've been well-pleased at how much faster and more efficiently it runs. Of course, it could be in part due to it being 64-bit. Anyway, even the beta version seemed to be more stable than Vista Ultimate (which I've experieced BSODs ("Blue Screens Of Death") with.... something I hadn't seen since the days of Windows NT Server 4). Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how the final release performs.
